Cricket Bliss

U19 Captain
DR Jardine…
Made England win the 1932/33 Ashes, their only victory between 1930 and 1950. The Only tour that reduced Bradman from a herculean run machine to a human looking one.
When Frank Woolley and FGH Fender expressed negative views on Bradman, analysed Bradman perfectly and believed that he could be the next big thing.
Selected Eddie Paynter instead of Duleepsinjhi against the likes of the Selectors and believed that Paynter would perform well against Australia. Paynter averages 84 against Australia.

Jardine, May, Illingworth, Hutton and Strauss are all vastly more accomplished. What has Stokes even done to be in the running?

International Coach
Douglas Jardine
Len Hutton

Mike Brearley was a great tactician but I don't think he inspired his team the same way Jardine and Hutton did, nor did he develope Bodyline like Jardine, or led to the end of gentleman classification like Hutton
