ma1978

International Regular
Dravid was a better batsman against all types of bowling as reflected in his considerably better record

Gooch stands out because he has had several innings of very high quality against exceptional bowling which stand in contrast to the general averageness of his career

Arachnodouche

International Captain
Dravid averaged like 75 against Ambrose, Walsh, and Bishop
Tbf they were all way past their primes when he faced them and that one series in the WI was played on surfaces like treacle and sponge. I'd still back Dravid against a quality attack because of how "theoretically" sound his technique seemed against pace but can't deny he came up short against it on more than a few occasions.
