Just realised theres no dedicated thread to discuss this as they aren't really an emerging nation(minnow) anymore.

Ashgar Afghan has been sacked as captain in all 3 formats and Nabi and Rashid Khan are openly speaking out against it on twitter. Interested to see how this pans out.

Is it because Asghar Afghan's place in the playing eleven (as a pure batsman) was under some threat? How has he been performing?

A very useful 67 in the first dig of their test victory over Ireland to go with 3 fifties in a row during the ODI series


However before that he may have been struggling a bit. Overall ODI batting record isn't great

In the end Ireland won two ODIs more than expected. Probably factored into the decision.
