The Indomitable Tiger O'Reilly.

The Bottom line is that Tiger gave less runs, took more wickets on average and he did it during the golden age of English batting and the hardest era of bowling. Lillee mostly bullied a rapidly declining English batting unit on very lively bowler friendly wickets, in both Australia and England. The Bottom line is that Lillee had a far easier job, in both opposition and conditions and he still did a worse job than Tiger, rest is all hogwash.

Also, a pretty rare case, as Tiger beats Lillee even on peer reputation, hype and aura.

Before Warne took the throne, in Australia, who was rated as the best Australian bowler? has to be between these two and Lindwall right?

Also, I'd have loved to see Lillee bowl to actual 1960s England, maybe 67 Ashes where the lineup had Boycott/Edrich/Barrington/Cowdrey/Graveney or early 60s with Barrington/Cowdrey/Dexter or even 66-67 one with Boycott/Edrich/Cowdrey/Barrington. Instead he bowled to way, way weaker ones.

Lillee would average closer to 30. He legit does 27 to WI and 30 to Pak, the two teams with the best batting of his era he played regularly.

Yeah that English batting is also very strong, imagine if Boycott and Barrington from both ends got going together lol, Lillee would die running in all day.

No bowler came close to him in terms of reputation
I will personally argue Shane Warne has higher reputation minus India, not that Lillee has much rep in Asia in general, I think Warne would be rated above everywhere both him and Lillee played bar maybe West Indies
