Who's the better cricketer between David Gower and Ted Dexter?

Gower better batsman, but it's close enough for Dexter to be ahead on including his bowling. It's still quite close though.

I think you'd probably have to say Gower had the more accomplished test career. Much more volume of runs/hundreds and in a tougher era.
Dexter though is one of my top 2 favourite cricketers from England tbh, so I'm tempted to shamelessly vote for him. Doesn't appear in polls very often.
I reckon he was a slightly better player of genuine pace than Gower and his bowling could be useful.
