I know little or nothing about cricket but my elderly Granddad is a huge fan. In 2017 we are hoping to go on holiday together to Australia.
Can anyone tell me if England are playing in Australia next year? He would particularly like a one day international match. If yes where can I look at dates and book tickets?

England are next due to tour Australia in the 2017-18 season. No fixtures are confirmed yet but there will almost certainly be a Test in Melbourne on Boxing day 2017, a Sydney test starting on the 2nd or 3rd of January and several one day matches in January and February.

Next year, South Africa and Pakistan are touring Australia.

Hi there. I know you mentioned your Grandad would like to go to a one day game but one thing you may want to consider.......England get huge numbers of travelling support for the Ashes test matches in Oz but they pretty much all go home by the time the one day games start, so you only get a few ex pats going to those. The test matches can produce an awesome atmosphere with the Barmy Army in full voice which you wont get at the ODI's.

Depending on what time of year you want to come there will be 4 test matches between the middle of Nov 2017 and the New year. This is the last tour dates (2013) the venues and order are pretty much set in stone but the dates may vary slightly for next year......

Brisbane - 21/11/13
Adelaide - 04/12/13
Perth - 13/12/13
Melbourne - 26/12/13
Sydney - 03/01/14

If you really want to go to a One Day game you'll have to wait until the middle of Jan 2018.......the dates and venues for these are never consistent so I can't give you any indication on that.
