Uhhh, guys I don't think that's what he meant!
I guess my hints and tips revolve around batting. I've found that it's usually the slower ball of the quick bowlers which brings me undone (especially against the faster bowlers in the game) because you have to anticipate with the faster bowlers to hit them around and sometimes you anticipate too early and sky a slower ball.
I've found that the slower ball usually is bowled on the first ball of a given over if the ball is pitched on a length. So survive the first ball (usually a slower one) of any over and you can assume that al of the rest of the over will be at pace. A lot of the time it comes on the 5th or 6th ball of the over too. So watch out!
My big scoring shots are the lofted straight drive, the lofted on-drive and the lofted flick over square leg. Another easy one is the square dive lofted. Usually easy 4's there. The pull, hook, cut etc. are low percentage shots in the game I believe.
So far, I've managed to score 1449 as my highest score with Laxman getting 715*! 23 6's and 130 4's, baby! That's on 'normal' skill level, by the way. Is 'hard' much more difficult?
As for bowling, well I don't think there is a cut-and-dried method for bowling in all circumstances but I've found one method which has a huge success rate but only in Tests:
To right handed batsmen, have a right handed med-fast bowler to come around the wicket, pitch the ball on around middle and off just back of a length (almost yorker, really) and bowl at any pace with the ball cutting back in to the batsman. A lot of the time, the batsman will leave the ball as it cuts in leaving them plumb in front. Quite often it will be a dodgy decision too but who cares, you got him!
For the left handed batsmen, do the same thing but over the wicket. They will generally just leave the ball alone and get out LBW.
