Lambert was a star. I remember his Test debut. He was out twice on the same day, which was quite rare for a debutant. Terrible technique yet somehow made a century when recalled a few years later.

Tbf Grant Lambert wouldn't look that out of place in this team

Clayton was an interesting player. Think he could have had a pretty handy career as a T20 mercenary had he been 20 years younger

Recall reading about an English batsman with a crabby technique who played in the 30s. Can't remember the name and Google is no use. The description was Chanderpaul-esque.
