Yeah disagree with that, it's much worse losing a home ashes, than losing in SA if you're the Ban captain.... Ofc this is a more extreme example

That's a terrible example lol, but for reference, I'll happily take a 1-1 with West Indies with Windies winning a thriller by a Shamar Joseph/Jayden Seales 12fer after 3 games of English domination, over getting flogged 0-3 in Sri Lanka without being all that competitive.

Don't think any of them were great captains, and some were surprisingly awful.

Think Smith is easily the best tactically, but the incident kinda disqualifies him?

If no, then him. Otherwise Viv.

Tactics are hard to judge because Smith is the only people have seen who wasn't totally embarrassing.
