Strong and tough personality uniting the islands and managing some serious big egos. Charismatic too. And as a batsman, yeah while all he always seemed to blossom against Australia and in India, he had a very late peak. His final career average was the highest average he had ever attained since his first three years. Very entertaining to watch too.
