fwiw the only sub 100 innings on @Days of Grace top 100 test innings list is

Viswanath 97* vs Windies 1975 in Chennai

97* out of 190, Roberts 7/64

At one point India were 76/6 and Viswanath only on 19.

This was against peak Roberts in his favourite country. Gibbs and Holder were also excellent in the series.

Gibbs 21 @ 21.61
Holder 17 @ 18.52

Viswanath scored 568 @ 63.11 that series, more than twice that of Engineer who scored 222.

Pujara's innings was significantly better and more important. The pitch had crumbled by the time the second innings started and India were staring down the barrell of a 0-2 series scoreline until that pujara rahane partnership. Arguably still Pujara's best innings.

Whatever it takes!!!
Still remember how Karun Nair looked the most fluent batsman in the first innings. Poor guy should have converted that innings and he may have had much more of a test career.
