Two stalwarts of their nations' rise from cricketing backwaters to test status. Both featured heavily in the dog days of slogging through World Cup Qualifiers and earning ODI status. Both lived to walk onto the field in their team's test debut and retire soon after. Both will likely be forgotten outside their home nations. Nevertheless a tribute poll is due from me
