Scenario is a 5 test match series in SC with two classic spinning wickets, one unprepared lottery pitch and two batting low bounce pancake wickets.

Is there an XI outside that can beat this team (no Bradman allowed)?

Sehwag
Gavsaskar
Younis Khan
Sachin
Miandad
Sanga (keeper)
Imran (captain)
Ashwin
Wasim
Waqar/Bumrah
Murali

I doubt you could pick a side with those parameters that would win more than it would lose. Big home ground advantage

International Captain
Hayden did well in UAE too vs Shoaib and Saqlain. And fairly good in SL.
That's true. But I don't rate him as high a player of spin as the other 2. Ashwin vs Hayden definitely seems to be like an Ashwin win. What about an outside shout for someone like Khawaja?

Khwaja will fold under this pressure. Hayden at least seems more at home with elites and can return fire with fire.

Potential bowling:

McGrath
Steyn
O'Reilly

I may go for an outside option like Holding or Garner for third seamer.

Warne will get collared in India. Who is a bad wicket spin specialist?

How about Barnes?

I don't see Hayden struggling with Ashwin unless it's a bunsen. Khawaja is not a step up either.

If we're looking at lefties, maybe Andy Flower or a darkhorse like Stephen Fleming, or Alistair Cook
