Yeah bowling basically makes this one sided. Even on batting I don't know if this team could be in these conditions without Bradman

Hayden had 1 ATG elite series in India. Overall he's not that elite. Sobers and more so Lara yes.

Hayden did well in UAE too vs Shoaib and Saqlain. And fairly good in SL.

That's true. But I don't rate him as high a player of spin as the other 2. Ashwin vs Hayden definitely seems to be like an Ashwin win. What about an outside shout for someone like Khawaja?

Khwaja will fold under this pressure. Hayden at least seems more at home with elites and can return fire with fire.

That might be true yeah. Although late 2010s-early 2020s Khawaja was a better player for these conditions imo.

I don't see Hayden struggling with Ashwin unless it's a bunsen. Khawaja is not a step up either.

If we're looking at lefties, maybe Andy Flower or a darkhorse like Stephen Fleming, or Alistair Cook
