5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

What an amazing test we had!! Will surely go down as one of the greatest test wins for India. Brilliant from Siraj and Krishna

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

True. Gill was playing pretty much flawlessly except for the couple of catch drops till that point. Threw his wicket in a crucial moment.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

I think you meant 32 for Gill

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Fantastic knock from Shubman. But with him out, India's chances of saving this test are bleak.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

The wicket is quite dangerous now. With the new ball due in a few overs, worrying signs for India. Not sure if these 2 will manage to survive till lunch

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Fantastic batting from Gill and Rahul. Played through the tough phase and cashed in when batting got easier, classic test match batting. Saved India from a potential innings defeat (still on the cards though)

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

It's just some good batting with a bit of luck.

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

It's insane how drastic the difference between Gill's first 4 inns and the last 3 inns this series has been. Could be the difference from India being 4-1 to 1-4.

Rank these Test Batsmen in Order

Barrington Root Compton Boycott Cook May Gooch Cowdrey Gower Thorpe

How important are runs from number 8?

Kuldeep can definitely block the ball. He has played some handy knocks at home.

Who are the top 5 test cricketers of the 1970s and 1980s?

Hadlee, Imran, Marshall, Richards and Botham in that order. Lillee for Botham is also a nice debate.

How important are runs from number 8?

They are more of a bonus than a necessity. Someone like Washington would score 25-30 runs per test at 8 and barely take a wicket. The impact of someone like Arshdeep or Kuldeep who could take 2-3 wickets per innings is much higher.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Fantastic day for India. Sublime knock from Gill with good support from Jadeja. But I believe Root and Brook are going to have a great day tomorrow. The new ball threat is out now.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

    Score a duck.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Would've been England's day if not for Gill and Jaiswal's fantastic contributions. Very responsible innings from Gill on a wicket that had decent seam movement. English bowlers were also hitting the right lengths today. Without Bumrah, India would need at least a 100 runs extra on this...

    WISDEN'S CURRENT TEST XI

I'd have Pat Cummins for Lyon and he'll captain the side.

    2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

Too early to drop Prasidh. He was terrible last game but I'd back him. I'll remove Thakur and get Kuldeep. Akash for Bumrah.

Who will be captain of your team after 5 years

I guess Shubman will make it.

Hadlee vs imran who had better peak

    Okay that's ridiculous.

Your ATG team pace bowling trio

I think I've posted my XI already here but let me post it again anyways. Hobbs, Hutton, Don, Sachin, Sobers, Gilchrist, Imran, Hadlee, Marshall, Warne, Barnes Though I have gone for Imran, Hadlee and Marshall as my 3 pacers here, if we go purely on bowling, I think Hadlee, Marshall and one of...
