Amarnath's 1983 Windies tour vs Steve Waugh's 1995 Windies tour

It's all good brother, no hard feelings.

Which ATG unit is a better nucleus for a side?

    The one with Bradman.

Amarnath's 1983 Windies tour vs Steve Waugh's 1995 Windies tour

I do? If you can post one time I disagreed I'm all ears. I usually disagree with your rating of Ambrose below Imran and your questioning his credentials outside the WI. Nice try though, I know/remember what I've posted.

Amarnath's 1983 Windies tour vs Steve Waugh's 1995 Windies tour

'83 had 4 great bowlers even if they weren't all at their peak or in form. And 1995 Ambrose was a shell of his former self having completed surgery in late 1994. 4>2.

    Who's Done the Most Damage?

    This.

Amarnath's 1983 Windies tour vs Steve Waugh's 1995 Windies tour

Armanath and it's not close. Faced a much better attack and for goodness sakes this is 80s WI: better bowling, fielding, batting, slips, etc. Waughs led to victory but that had as much to do with facing a weaker WI and having McWarne to polish off the batting.

Who are your favourite commentators/analysts on TV & Radio

    Stupid autocorrect...

Is Javed Miandad an ATG test batsman?

True that, except that Sobers' away average of roughly 51 is still great. More so, if you factor in that he averaged 53 and 46 vs the two best teams of his times.

    Smith's 2017 BGT vs Viv's 1980/81 Pakistan tour

I took '76 to mean the entire year, in which case Smith didn't face anything as tough as Viv did in Australia vs Tommo and Lillee with unlimited bouncers, 1976 bats, full boundaries and aggressive in your face bowlers (and spectators).

Who are your favourite commentators/analysts on TV & Radio

Honey Bloefield and Bill Lawry for me.

    90s/2000s vs 2010s/2020s

Agreed because last i checked Bangladesh, SL and Pakistan also count as the Sub Continent.

    90s/2000s vs 2010s/2020s

That was one series. Like seriously...

    Smith's 2017 BGT vs Viv's 1980/81 Pakistan tour

Qasim, Qadir and Safraz. The two spinners were especially excellent in home conditions. Smith takes this but dont you dare try to diminish that Pakistan attack.

Viv 1976 vs lara 1995 in england which is better

    3 less innings.

Viv 1976 vs lara 1995 in england which is better

    **765 in 10 innings

Viv 1976 vs lara 1995 in england which is better

Viv, it's not close. And had Viv not missed that one test, he'd have likely scored 900 runs plus.

Smith vs Lara vs Viv - Who has had the best god mode?

Yeah but the argument was that he didn't face any atg attacks with more than one great not him necessarily being successful. I'm just trying to show he did face attacks that were great due to circumstances: Tommo and Dennis at their absolute peak. He didn't average 40 (really??) but that...

Smith vs Lara vs Viv - Who has had the best god mode?

He didn't face more than one atg bowler but for example in Australia 75-76 he faced an attack bowling at an atg level.

Smith vs Lara vs Viv - Who has had the best god mode?

Um Pakistan had Wasim and Imran when Viv made runs in 1988. I know i know, Wasim was young bla bla bla but it's very rare you'll find two atg fast bowlers in similar form, peaking at the same time. When Wasim was the man in the 90s, Waqar was great for what 4 years or so, not much more after...
