    That you so much for the reply - I think I have got to the bottom of it as I believe it is George Geary. The lot had various items of which this was one and came from his family. I guess I was fixated on the written name (may have been the photographer) rather than the picture itself.

    Hi I picked up a few items at an auction and included was the signed picture as attached. The lot included items from the England touring team of 1928-9 but this image does not appear to be of any of that team. The date is 1926 but I cannot work out who it is. Help would be much appreciated...
