    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Not a World Cup but Greece at Euro 2004 is probably the last time

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

So just checked and there’s rain forecast for both next Thursday and Friday in Birmingham- my understanding is that if they can’t play either on the match day or reserve day the higher placed team will instantly qualify ?

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Having been crap for a couple of years (during which they had no meaningful games with England) they’re going to win it all and then be full of confidence for the ashes aren’t they... I feel physically sick ???
  4. Larwood's_boots

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

How was the KW one avoidable? Surely that’s the one way to be out where you genuinely haven’t done anything wrong in any level?
  5. Larwood's_boots

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

So the semi final lineups are like to be Oz vs NZ Eng vs Ind Correct?

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

I mean I can see there’s no point in doing anything risky given the net run rate situation, but seeing as how safe you are couldn’t they at least try slogging so the ticket buying customers get something.

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

I guess, but none have really been dominant in the way some of the pace men have.

    90's bangers pal
  9. Larwood's_boots

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Also now that I think about it, have any spinners had a decent world cup?

Rashid's looked quality for a couple of years- takes wickets but can be expensive but we know that(although he's had a poor world cup). My point was that Root is now as good as Ali for a second spinner.

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Still think Rashid Is a solid bet in white ball games, just can’t believe Ali is still anywhere near the team

    41st Match - England v New Zealand

Joe root is as good a spinner at this point as Moeen Ali. Change my mind.

Tough one to take. Still in the running for promotion at least I guess. and for play to Worcestershire of course, worthy winners.

I was out in Australia for the ashes and his big bash performances were all the locals were talking about. Personally I think he’s a better player in the first class game, but the class is undeniable.

Oh for sure, but with all respect I don’t think anyone would claim those guys are in the same universe as khan. But the spinners are looking good now!

And it looks like mo might be in a mood too, gonna need to break this up.

Yeah, but khan was such a huge part of that. There’s been like 90 odd overs bowled on this pitch so can’t tell how a pace attack will do.
