    ***Official*** Indian Premier League 2018

The number of bowlers in this CSK team is ridiculous - 9 players who would usually bowl in a t20 game

How long has Root not been fielding in the slips for?

Anybody got any idea what Worcestershire's tactics are with this batting order...?

    **Official** England in Bangladesh 2016

Woakes and Rash are both better batsmen than Ansari, when it comes to the bottom 4 you've just got to bat them in who's best, would be criminal for Ansari to be above the two of them.

You reckon Ansari will bat at 4?!? I expect England will pick the same eleven, but with Ansari at 10 and everyone moved up one position (but with Bairstow at 5 and Stokes at 6).

With Anderson and Wood out, what team do we reckon England will go in the first test against Bangladesh? 3 seamers and 3 spinners?

*Official* Pakistan in England and Ireland 2016

Would love to see a team of Roy, Hales, Stokes, Root, Buttler, Billings, Jordan, Plunkett, Rashid, Wood, Mills this evening. Would be very exciting to watch an opening attack of Mills and Wood but they're not going to drop Willey.

    **Official** County Cricket 2016

I'm surprised with all the names being thrown around the England team that Gubbins of Middlesex hasn't been mentioned - he's had one hell of a season, you could say better than Hameeds.

Pretty sure England will go with: Cook Hales Root Ballance Bairstow Stokes Ali Woakes Rashid Broad Anderson Don't expect any wholesale changes, I'd be suprised to see a debutant in the first test.

I agree that he has been quality in ODIs this year and should definitely be in the team long term, he just looks so out of nick at the moment that a time away from the spotlight and feeding himself a diet of county medium pace may do him good for the rest of the season.

Thoughts on a team of Roy, Ali, Root, Morgan, Bairstow, Buttler, Stokes, Woakes, Plunkett, Rashid, Wood for the next game?

*Official* Pakistan in England and Ireland 2016

Given the style Root's bowling, which is as straight as possible with 3 on the leg side boundary, would it be more effective for him to go round the wicket?

You've only got one review and it's meant for the howlers, you shouldn't review one like that when it's 50/50

    The Stokes and Woakes Thread

Pretty sure whatever bowlers England pick our tail will be strong enough. I'm saying this as a structure of the side specific to England because we shouldn't need to worry about whether we bat deep enough or not.

    The Stokes and Woakes Thread

If this is true then play another batsman, you shouldn't need more than a 5 man bowling attack in test cricket.

    The Stokes and Woakes Thread

Just keep it simple and play Bairstow, your best 5 batsman and then your best 3 seamers and 2 spinners in Asia, stop over complicating things.
  19. G

*Official* Pakistan in England and Ireland 2016

In India you need 3 seamers and 2 spinners, Bairstow and then your 5 best batsmen, so something like: Cook Hales Root Vince Ballance Bairstow Ali Woakes Rashid Broad Anderson Obviously our top 5 is up for debate, but I think that those top 6 batsmen are the best 6 batsmen in England, and then...

Chris Woakes now has a better all rounder average (bat ave - bowl ave) than Ben Stokes...
