    Australian Domestic Offseason 2011

Of course McDonald would come into contention, I doubt he would fill the roll though. Especially with Watson, there is really no need for another all-rounder. If Marsh doesn't continue his form or Uzi or whoever eventually ends up filling the #6 role, the selectors would simply opt to select...

Did the umpires actually give him out after the catch?

Why so mad? While he could bowl a little fuller, it's not like he hasn't had any success with his usual line and length. He does average 32.10 which is quite respectable.

Better ODI bowler::: McGrath or Wasim

Even then, McGrath is a better bowler.

It's the same deal with Siddle as it is with Copeland. Obviously given time and exposure bowling to high quality batsman, Siddle should (and will) develop into a better bowler. Just need to give him time. As you have said, he can do it but with more experience and a little bit of confidence...

England's (and Australia's) dominance good for cricket?

If it is a success I can guarantee that it won't be a one-off.

Number 6 isn't the spot for him. Marsh is a better fit IMO.

Where would they fit him in though? I'm sorry, I like Andrew McDonald but I don't think he'll play for Australia again bar filling in for an injury.

I agree with you, although he's never going to settle in Test Cricket without playing actual Test Cricket. It was tough on Katich but if Hughes is the future of Australian Cricket, better to have him in sooner rather than later IMO.

    How was he ****ed over?

Talking more about his performance in the Ashes. To be honest, I think his performance in the ODIs are almost worthless. I won't welcome Bollinger back into the Test team untill he proves in domestic cricket that he can bowl consistent line and length at pace over the course of a FC game.

MJ hasn't been bad this series and Bollinger certainly hasn't been any better. Anyway, you can't expect your three quicks to all be firing at once. There will always be a standout. This series, it just happens to be Harris. To be honest, I like the way our attack is shaping up at the moment...

You do know that Copeland has only been bowling pace for like 5 years or something? He isn't like a McGrath or Lee who have been bowling pace all their lives. Obviously the more experience he gets and the more time he spends with high quality coaching staff the better bowler he will become. Tbh...

Still, McGrath fast fast. IIRC he could reach mid 140's at his fastest? Tbh, that's not fast at all by todays standards. I also don't know why people would want any bowler to bowl more than 7 overs in one hit tbh. Shorter and sharper spells are the way to go. Clarke has handled his bowlers...

What's the matter about his pace? Honestly, Glen McGrath only hovered around the 130's and even high 120's in the latter part of his career and it didn't effect his ability to still be the premier fast bowler in International Cricket. If Copeland can keep getting the ball to move around through...
