    Martyn dropped from test squad

"Dropping Martyn while keeping Hayden is just so stupid I actually thought some of the Indian selectors were picking the aussie side." - honestbharani LOL Knowing Indian selectors they wud've probably made hayden captain in a bid to 'regain' his form, sound familiar....

    ***Official*** Super Series

shocking decision IMO! the selectors must have a very short term memory if they cant remember the number of valuable innings martyn has played preceding the ashes series. Surely hayden must be the one to go, i dont see how a century made at a snails pace on a flat batting track wud prolong his...

    Australia's Post Ashes Blueprint

agreed. tait was vastly underused considering he is an explosive wicket taker. But think back to the situaiton in edgbaston when flintoff and harmy were trying to bounce out kaspa and lee. Admittedly it worked, belatedly, but s jones is a far better option for the tailenders in that situation...

    ***Official*** Super Series

in hindsight i wud probably go for dravid over kallis, seeing as kallis wudnt want his bowling figures destroyed against the english :p

    ***Official*** Super Series

ive heard that the icc are planning to make the super series an event held every 5 years where the best take on the rest. jus wondering if england happen to take on ROW, what the ROW lineup be like?? min wud be (based on current form) 1. J Langer 2. G Smith (VC) 3. R Ponting (just shades...

    Nehra vs Pathan vs Zaheer

    1. irfan pathan 2. zaheer khan 3. ashish nehra i can only really judge these three left armers based on their perfomances in aust on their recent tour. Pathan when he burst onto the scene had a brilliant natural ability to move it both ways and had a deadly yorker (waugh and gilly neone?)...

Who is currently the best all-rounder at international level?

in agreeance with zinzan here, gilchrist is simply world-class in both the keeping and batting departments and is the currently the best allrounder (13+ centuries, don't think he gave away a bye to warne's bowling in edgbaston) in the world. I reckon Flintoff is closing the gap and could assume...

***Official*** Australia in England (The Ashes)

that soooooooo wasnt out(pietersen's dismissal) i dont fink that the umpire can conclusively say it hit the glove on the way through. That dismissal places the game in the aussies favour, good one koertzen as i type bell gets out as well

    Geraint Jones

i'd back him, as atm England is already undermanned in the batting dept with Freddie batting a spot too high, (despite his whirlwind 68) and if the ready-made replacements in Prior and Read cannot chip in and contribute with the bat, which jones usually does, then i see no need in replacing...

    Gillespie or Kasprowicz

play kaspa, gillespie is looking out of sorts and australia need him at his menacing best. He has had numerous chances in the one-dayers to prove himself but was continually bashed around by eng top-order who targetted him, as they see him as a liability in australia's attack. kaspa is betta...

Vaughan 3,4 Bell 6,8 Flintoff 0,3 (4-183) Total 24 runs McGrath 10*,20* (9-82) Total 30* its a worrying sign when 3 in ure top 6 gets comprehensively beaten by McGrath..........................................with the bat!

wow unbelievable bowling by mcgrath, the new aka for me, talks the talk and walks the walk. Wat an astonishing day of cricket where both bowling lineups dominated, all i can say is expect the unexpected. IMHO only three pointers are preventing england from getting their hand on the coveted urn...

    A.F.L Thread

I am deadset hoping that brisbane will beat the eagles cos I dont think they have a good enough team to be at 14-1 on the ladder, the majority of their away games this year they have just fell over the line and havent looked very convincing. The lions are barnstorming towards the finals and...
