Group A - India, England, Australia, West Indies

I think a score of 250 is par. However with the strength and depth of their batting lineup my money is still on Australia

Prayer Thread: Get well by Sunday Munaf (all Indian fans show your support)

Here's the lineup I'd like to have against the aussies 1. Sachin 2. Sehwag (usually comes good against the bigger teams - well here's to hoping) 3. Raina (give him a chance up the top - good runner between wickets and usually innovative) 4. Dravid 5. Mongia (been in good touch) 6. Dhoni 7...

....and razzaq ends it (thanks youtoobz)

right on the money there prowler. Razzaq is one of the cleanest strikers in world cricket and although he's a bit stop-startish he chooses the right ball to hit the right shot. Great player to come in at No 8

Seriously, it's about time for Afridi to go. For too long he has ''earnt'' a spot in the team for his potential to score quickly, but bring on a track that offers just a lil bit of juice and he will self--implode (usually to long-on/off.) Once Inzy returns his place should be gone until he can...

Operative word there being might, England in ODI's seem to yo-yo from dismal to abysmal :p

Chappell out to produce another World Class all-rounder? Target: Suresh Raina!

Just to put it out there - I think its very hard to detect sarcasm in online posts. So if you are trying to be sarcastic make it bleedin obvious or make it funny so other CWbbers can understand where u are coming from and this may minimize potential confusion.

    Muslim Question

Great topic, this - able to tell the western world the ideas behind fasting. Fasting occurs in teh lunar month of Ramadan and is quite difficult in the first few days as your body's biological system is not used to the radical change in diet. After about a week or so it just becomes common...

    ***Official*** Pakistan in England

Well said Mate. Asif is to Shoaib (potentially) as what McGrath is to Lee. Oh and Harmison's scale of absoutely divine to downright awful must be the longest in cricket history - such is his inconsistency.

    ***Official*** Pakistan in England

Wow, this test match should have an exciting conclusion and as a neutral I would love to see Pak win but I don't see that happening unless someone outside their big three performs which going on past history is unlikely to happen. Pak all out for 250-300 with panesar taking a bagful and hoping...

    Daily Predictions.

Italy - Aus 2-1 (gotta go with the head here - italy has too many matchwinners) Ukraine - Swiss 1-0 (probably through a shev penalty or some rebrov magic) is it just me or has the defending in this world cup gone up a notch
