    Wasim Akram vs Brian Lara

I wouldn't call Lara's batting style "effortless"; not with that high backlift and flourish, he seemed very alert to possibilities. Stylish beyond compare, but not effortless. Just me though.

Will Ravichandran Ashwin take 700 test wickets?

He gets bopped for six in his first few overs quite regularly these days.

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

That Aus lower order has already proved difficult to dislodge while we have the usual fller from 9-11. We need the extra padding. We also need five "real" bowlers and sadly it's only the spinners who happen to be decent bats. NKR will have to sit out for no fault of his but that's Indian cricket...

    Stuart Broad's 8-15 vs Anil Kumble's 10-74

Kumble's final few wickets were a farce with Srinath bowling wide from the other end. Kinda definitive for that era of Indian cricket when individual milestones were all we had to cling to even in the face of inevitable victory.

Better 153 : Perera or Lara

Lara for me. Watched both as they happened; Lara's was a symphonic masterpiece in a seething atmosphere, with all the dynamics you'd expect from that overwrought analogy. Perera's was one of those that collect irresistible momentum and has bowlers looking resigned because every ball, however...

Better knock : Ian Botham 149* or VVS Laxman 281

Laxman but I'd completely get someone who watched Botham's innings opting for it. Both surreal, near-magical knocks.

    Jasprit Bumrah vs Malcolm Marshall

I still want to see Bumrah completely decimate a decent batting order, like just leave them reeling as in Perth at 60/7 but not have some other chump partake of the spoils. Instead we get these ***y 2-3 wicket bursts by which time he's nearing the end of his spell. He usually comes back to make...

I find it hilarious that Siraj accused another grown man of lying outright. Normally adults in the public eye find mealymouthed ways of not saying it in so many words but not our Thanedar Siraj 👮‍♂️

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

Gavaskar: "I think the feet aren't moving as they should. He needs to do a little bit of exercise before coming to the crease and try to get some circulation going in the legs. Do some jogging before you take the first ball" I can imagine Rohit's reaction to that. Starts with a C and ends with...

    **Official** 3rd Test @Brisbane (Ewwwww), 14th-18th December

We're cooked. Lost all momentum from Perth inside of three days. The batters might even cobble together a decent score as the wickets get easier from here on out but the bowling has a shocking lack of oomph other than Jasprit. We need five bowlers and Reddy isn't cutting it as the fifth option...

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Best bit was Gayle looking back at him with total bemusement. Don't think more opposite ends of the coolness spectrum have ever been captured in a cricketing frame.

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Siraj is a bit of a prick though and carries on in ways not warranted by his stature in the game. All Indian fans know this. I remember a video from a few years ago of him grabbing and ragdolling Kuldeep Yadav by the collar. Desi simps (subs?) tried passing it off as normal dressing room...

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Kohli's done. Scared eyes batting in the middle and complete resignation on being dismissed...after the usual initial show of disbelief. Look at him trudge back like he's walking in double gravity. That's the mark of a defeated man. Put him out of his misery.

Rohit should do a fight-style weight cut. Hit the saunas, practice in a raincoat, show up on match day in emaciated condition, and then gradually balloon up over the next five days.

Bye bye, Rana. Thought we'd stopped throwing up chumps like him. Being harsh tbf, he did bowl ok in one innings, but there's simply very little there to be hopeful about.

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Man, these guys must/need to have thick skins. Be mortifying to come back as captain to a team that's just pulled off a great win in your absence, only to stink up the joint the way Rohit's done.

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Getting plonked in more docile, pre-lights conditions is fine but he was bowling either side with no control of length. Might've driven a few nails into his future Test prospects with this showing.

He was as quick as Marnus on a few occasions and more accurate too. Not a fifth bowler for sure but very useful as a lower middle order bat with some bowling skills. Should defo be part of the ltd overs sides and on a case-by-case basis in Tests.
