The Jadeja easy runs at home thing needs to die. Do you ****ers even watch cricket?

This was only true pre 2019 - his actually batting has come on quite a bit since then
Your time lines all wrong. He's been making tough home runs since ~2017

For the record, Botham has played only 43 of the 72 tests England played away from home during his career. Jadeja has now played only 7 tests less than Botham away from home.

Another interesting stat :

Botham 59 tests at home, 43 away. Home tests vs away tests ratio - 1.37
Jadeja 49 tests at home, 36 away. Home tests vs away tests ratio - 1.36

I don't think it is fair to hold tests played abroad as criteria against Jadeja anymore.

May be Botham is a better player than him which is fair enough.

Botham's away record is far better than Jadeja. There's no maybe regarding whether Botham is a better player. Botham was a far superior batsman and clearly better bowler as well. No contest, not close.

You are arguing semantics here when my opinion didn't differ from you overall. Since you mentioned that Botham's away record is far better than Jadeja, it is pertinent to point out that it is not the case.

Botham averages 31 with the bat and 29 with the ball overseas. Jadeja averages 38 with the bat and 36 with the ball abroad.

Perhaps a warning sign that a poster needs to be ignored going forward.

Very nice. Now, let's see — RPI away from home: Jadeja 31.05, Botham 30.98. Barely a difference.
Though, a bowling average difference of 7 is absolutely humongous, which means Botham was much better.
And for one, don’t take the moral high ground by saying "muh which posters need to be ignored" —lmao.

Botham failed pathetically against the best team of his time, Jadeja has performed against the best team of his time. I know BS nationalistic bias when I see it (and I rate Botham higher than Jadeja but to say there is much in it is nonsense)

I think I need to be English first to have nationalistic bias for Botham
