I was checking (right before he now got out) to see if any teenager had ever scored a double century in tests on debut.

They hadn't.

Rudolph was the youngest to do it a month shy of his 22nd birthday.

Honestly it’s not that cut and dry for Mulder with Bosch and Muthusamy (in the SC) around.

As things stand Bosch averages 137 with the bat and 23 with the ball and both his 50's came with South Africa in big trouble. Muthusamy averages 43 with the bat and 35 with the ball , got a 50 and 5 wickets in his last test and there's the subcontinent tours coming up ..

Mulder has the new no.3 bedding in period (Which nobody asked for) , but at what stage do you do right by the 2 all rounders who are putting in outstanding performances
