I'll take your word for it. Cool.Shoaib between 2002 to 2007 was worldclass just injury prone.
It's pretty well established already tho, I believe.I'll back Subs here, Shoaib in 2000s is a beast.
This is his record that time in that flat era. Will always annoy me that he couldn't get 200 wickets.I'll take your word for it. Cool.
Outstanding. He didn't make it to 200 because of fitness or discipline in your opinion. I didn't follow Akhtar that closely. This is his record that time in that flat era. Will always annoy me that he couldn't get 200 wickets.

It is very surprising that the last Pakistan fast bowler to take 200+ test wickets debuted way back in 1989.He didn't make it to 200 because of fitness or discipline in your opinion.
In WIs case it's a supply issue, in Pakistans case it's a professionalism issue. The Game has progressed past Pakistan and West Indies sadly, they haven't been able to keep pace.
Haha I get it!The Game has progressed past Pakistan and West Indies sadly, they haven't been able to keep pace.
Pakistan is the biggest example that talent alone isn’t enough and one must have discipline to succeed. In WIs case it's a supply issue, in Pakistans case it's a professionalism issue.
In Pakistans case, it is completely due to Imran's professional grooming of Waqar and Wasim they had the ability to have long careers.
The 2Ws didn't mentor Shoaib that way, instead they were jealous of him. No mentor for Asif, Amir or Shaheen either and they all fell by the wayside.
If Shoaib had a mentor like Imran Khan, he would have become one of the greatest ever bowlers. The 2Ws didn't mentor Shoaib that way, instead they were jealous of him.
Certainly would have got the new ball sooner. He only got the new ball after Wasim retired. This IMO slowed his maturity as a bowler. If Shoaib had a mentor like Imran Khan, he would have become one of the greatest ever bowlers.
Hopefully would have shortened his run and saved his body earlier in his career too.Certainly would have got the new ball sooner. He only got the new ball after Wasim retired. This IMO slowed his maturity as a bowler.
He wouldnt have been bowled to death also but used more pragmatically.
