Without Kohli and Rohit, India are missing a lot of batting experience. Therefore picking Pujara could be a masterstroke. Thoughts?

As opposed to the greatness of the rest of the Indian lineup.

He was their only centurion of the series and one of only two in the entire series. Hasn’t been given a fair run at all.
Sarfaraz think will play regularly in Asia. Don't want him in SENA really, has too many issues against pace.

So the solution is never pick him outside of Asia and just assume he is going to be bad? Even when you guys don’t have any quality options in the wings rn? Makes sense. Like I said, not being given a fair chance.

He has gone to multiple India A tours overseas and have always been **** there.

Whatever it takes!!!
He has struggled in Ranji. He should have been dropped earlier from the Indian team.

Rahane should have been let go by 2019, Pujara by 2022, Virat by 2023 and Rohit by 2024. :(

I don't want to go all South African women's selectors, but international cricketers need to be in better shape.
Agreed, but from what little we saw of Sarfaraz, he is an excellent judge of a run and very good under the lid at short leg too. Makes you wonder though; it literally does not take much more for the average sedentary guy to walk a few kms each day and have a relatively clean diet to start losing some lbs. How does someone aspiring to international colors remain in that condition? I'm sure he's putting in more work than most people criticizing him. The heck is he eating then?

I'd love to see a contest of Sarfaraz Khan vs Mark Wood, preferably earlier in the inning when Wood is at his fastest.

Bringing back Pujara into the Test team at this point in time doesn't make sense at all. Knowing that India didn't make it into the WTC final, bringing back old guys like Pujara is just a waste of time, really. India should groom youngsters for the future and should give them a fair run to get experience and be better in the future.

Doesn't makes sense for the reasons set out above. If two guys have decided to retire at a similar age to him, why bring back a guy who hasn't been in much form at all before then not playing any fc cricket for the last 3 months? If it means younger guys learning a hard lesson or two then so be it.
