    Separate LOI and test tours

That natwest final was as good as the test series that followed but they overdid with another 3 odi series just before the start of Ashes.

Rate these Batsmen: Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Rahul Dravid, Younis Khan

Hence I said the banning of him @ 32 which robbed him of 12 tests in SENA dented his legacy the most I would have backed him to score around 900-1200 @45-50 in those tests.

Mark Taylor vs Michael Slater vs Justin Langer

As I expected the gap becomes larger when we take Langer just an an opener. He scored 5000 odd @ 49 with 16 tons as an opener making him considerably better then Taylor and Slater when we just look at them as openers.

Mark Taylor vs Michael Slater vs Justin Langer

This is easy. Langer, Taylor and then Slater all 3 have decent gap in between them.

Rate these Batsmen: Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Rahul Dravid, Younis Khan

I wonder what Younis legacy would be had he not been banned by the buffoon PCB chairman Ijaz Butt in 2009-2010 which made him miss 12 tests in ENA 5 vs aus, 4 England and 3 vs NZL he was at his peak 32-33 and was really up for the challenge an year earlier he got himself a contract to play a...

How much do coaches matter in the modern game?

A strong coach can clamp down on his dumb decisions .Making Rizwan bat @ 4 in tests or playing Australia with 6 batsman and 5 proper tail enders

    Separate LOI and test tours

Who came up with this idea and what's the logic behind it, Am I the only one who find this recent thing annoying and unnecessary and isn't ICC as an organization should do its best to reduce global carbon footprint this practice is probably doing just the opposite.

How much do coaches matter in the modern game?

I think coaches have a major role to play , a strong tactical coach will be really good for some one like Babar Azam whose batting actually benifits with the added responsibility of captaincy but seems to have the tactical nous of a door mouse and hence the team results suffer.

    Graham Thorpe

Oh yes missed Robin Smith a very good player. Personally despite a lower test average I will take Atherton and Steward above Bell and Trescothick aswell

    Graham Thorpe

Well tbf their two best batsmen from 80's and first half of 90's Gooch & Gower are not part of the list as they made their debuts couple of years earlier then the arbitrary cut off date for this thread.
