    Four teams for the semi-finals!

Australia and SA will certainly be in the semis. The other two teams can be from NZ,Pak,Ind and WI. England are down at the moment but can surprise a few teams, SL will depend alot on Muralitharan.

    ESPN's legends of cricket series

Well from '82 to 92 Imran averaged 50 with bat in 53 tests, so if any other allrounder was a better batsman then Imran during those ten years then surely he would have averaged more than 50!!

    ESPN's legends of cricket series

I think the most important factor is consistency, for example the major reason as to why Sachin is recognized as a better batsman to Lara is because Sachin is Consistent while Lara is not! Kapil Dev was a gifted Batsman but i feel he didn't do justice with his talent.Imran started slowly as...

    ESPN's legends of cricket series

IF a better batsman is one who is more aggresive than surely Srikant should be regarded as a better opener than Sunil Gavaskar!! Kapil's did score 2 more ton and 9 more 50's than Imran, but it had lot to do with Kapil playing 43 more tests than Imran. Also i'm amazed to read people saying that...

    ESPN's legends of cricket series

Two notable exceptions are, 1 Muralitharan ..Should be in top 25 2 Waqar Younis..Should be in 50 finalists. Sachin i think is ranked appropriately, Warne seems to me ranked a bit too high.I disagree with TC on Kapil, i think he was the fourth best allrounder after Imran,Bothom and Hadlee...

    Greatest Bowler

Lillee is the greatest pacer ever, Akram,McGratch,Hadlee all come after him. He didn't performed well on the pathetic Pakistani wkt, can't blame him much coz the wkt was totally dead!

    Greatest Bowler

Akram was at his best till the early 90's.By late 90's he totally faded away.I think ur qs was already answered by Roy! There is no point in giving reference to Akram's performance that were dated to late 90's and 2000, when he wasn't half the bowler he once was.To tell u the truth Akram...

    Greatest Bowler

McDermott was certainly a good bowler, but wasnt great, that lists places him over Marshall and Hadlee, that shows that its crap! Its true that Akram is not the bowler he once was, infact he should retire from tests cricket, but in his youth he was the one of the greatest bowler. Who said...

    The Waughs!!!

Aus are still a very good team, but without Waugh India will feel more at ease going in the match without having facing them. I do thing ACB is making a big blunder, atlest Steven should be in the team.Recently Saurav said that he believes Staven will be abck coz dropping him would be crazy!

WC '03...The world will be at Ganguly's feet!

Yaar, Its Javagal. Zaheer and Nehra are doing fine but i feel we need Nath desperately, Nath is class bowler , not only is he economical, but also chip in with wkts.

    Greatest Bowler

LOL! If we go by that list, then Gough is the all time great bowler and even Srinath is better than Marshall, Imran, Hadlee and Akram! Is it true? The mistake u make is that u forget that Akram/Waqar used to play in a team with atleast 2-3 match winning pacers, as such it often happens that...
