    Most team replace players with better players (not NSW). Larkin and Solway are capable of scoring first class hundreds. Gilkes, Edwards and Sangha look a world away from being anywhere near capable of scoring first class hundreds.

    Competition creates performance. Without these two there is no competition to force the younger batsmen to score more heavily to get selected in the first place. Without this they simply won't be up to it when called upon.
