    ***Official India in New Zealand***

Shocking start this morning. Seems like everything is either short and wide, a half-volley or down leg. Well that's the impression I'm getting from the radio and cricinfo anyway. India to make 500+.

If you could compete in one Olympic event...

What would it be? For me, I'd obviously go with hockey seeing as I play it and all. Otherwise, the 100m would be wicked, though I'm severely lacking in the seemingly mandatory showpony personality trait to compete in that. Wouldn't want to go near the marathon or triathlon.

    Men's Hockey thread

Absolutely gutted with NZ not qualifying, can't believe we didn't beat China. Were all over them, but just couldn't put the ball in. And China's second goal came from a bull**** PC too. FFS. Haven't seen our game vs Germany yet, but I was never confident about beating them. Hopefully Spain...

In. Will probably do the same as last year and give up about halfway through though.

    Men's Hockey thread

Pretty good, ranked 5th in the world from memory. Kind of like their cricket team though, they can be pretty awful on a particular day. Still, thats a big result for GB, if you can sneak a draw against Australia or the Netherlands you'd be likely to qualify - I'd expect Pakistan to have a better...

    **Official** New Zealand in England

This is ******* unbelievable. We had the game in the bag yesterday. Absolutely pathetic batting display and our bowling and fielding today has been ****. No way England should have even had a sniff from 180 behind the way the pitch was playing. Looks like it's flattened out a bit, and we've had...

Cheers, but don't get used to it, I've only got time to have a quick read through a couple of threads these days. Got insane amounts of work to do.

Aah, I missed it but went up to Shads afterwards. Couldn't believe it when I saw what happened

You sure? I'm pretty certain it was LBW to Malinga. A slower ball IIRC.

    You vs Chris Martin

Goughy and Mr Mxyzptlk on the money here, Martin is an absolute no hoper with the bat. I've read several articles about him (can't be stuffed trying to find them) saying that he still bats at 11 when he plays for his club, and that he's never scored a fifty in any grade of cricket. So it's safe...

    **Official** England in New Zealand

Pretty sure it was Cook. Anyway, FFS NZ. Had the game in the bag at lunch today. Instead we've pretty much given the series to England. Pathetic effort.

    **Official** England in New Zealand

Goodness me, Luke Wright looks far too much like Shane Watson. Actually thought it was Watson in an England shirt when he came on to bowl. Dreadful stuff.
