    ***Official*** IPL 2024

Yeah it's a fair point. Not saying he should be a definite starter, but just really surprised he hasn't been an impact player at the very least I'm not too hot on Rabada now in T20s itbt. Seems to have regressed and become quite hittable in this format. Think Ellis is a better option than him

Where's Nathan Ellis for Punjab? Gun death bowler and was excellent for them last season Very weird

Was surprised Kolkata went big for Starc tbh. A fading force in T20 cricket these days

Ten players you wished you could have seen live in their prime?

Allan Donald circa 92-98. For Warwickshire too as well as SA. Furious pace, stumps cartwheeling and those battles with Athers. Would be amazing viewing That's my number 1

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

Uh, yes. Anyone who takes 500+ wickets at under 25s is easily an ATG in my book. Only a tiny tiny percentage of test cricketers will achieve those numbers

Is Ravichandran Ashwin an ATG test bowler?

I'm struggling to fathom the thread title Ashwin has over 3000 test runs and over 500 wickets at just under 24s. Of course he's an ATG. Patently obvious

'Has' being the operative word. Not even the bowler he was 3 years ago tbh Not that he's bowling badly per se, but it's pretty toothless stuff

Bog-average English team, with moments of sporadic brilliance, about to get beaten 4-1 in India That's all folks

Good rig as well I may add. Impressive in this era of instant gratification

    2023-24 Australian domestic cricket season

McAndrew is just a really impressive cricketer isn't he? Runs in hard all day, good consistent pace and a more than useful bat Epitome of consistency

    2023-24 Australian domestic cricket season

I suppose the main question might be is he a better option than Mitch Marsh? You'd feel Webster's only opportunity to play is to bat 6 and bowl a few useful overs. Great, versatile fielder too Certainty looks a serious player, and similar ability to Marsh in that he can just go through the gears...

*Official* Australia tour of New Zealand Feb-Mar 2024

Just casually dropping into this thread and wondering how Southee is still playing this format??? Great test bowler, but he was never even that good to begin with in T20s? If he was a gun in his earlier days then I could maybe understand persevering with him. Is this too simplistic an...

Spot on. Both of them should be in the squad at the very least Bairstow is just way too 'feast or famine' for me, and in these conditions, bluntly speaking, he's just not good enough. Actually think Livingstone could have been a decent bolter for this tour. Plays spin well and his bowling has...

Yeah Jimmy is on his last legs now. Give him a farewell test in the summer, but let's look at alternatives now. I honestly don't think he's the best option these days The likes of Potts, Sam Cook, Fisher, Tongue and Atkinson absolutely need some game time in the next 12 months They're the next...

I'd make the analogy of comparing BazBall to undertaking a new job. Let's say 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. Sure, at first you can get by on the novelty factor like new colleagues and a different culture - maybe a really likeable boss. You also get by on sheer adrenaline. It's all-encompassing...
