    Saqlain Mushtaq

Hmmm.... I can't seem to find "Golly Gosh", "Ahhh Nuts" or "Oh Bother" in this list anywhere. Not very comprehensive is it Neil? But I did find it interesting that "B***ocks" was included, yet along ranked 8th. I mean really.... who, born this side of 1937, says b***ocks anymore??

    Saqlain Mushtaq

A minute or so... :) I laughed when I thought of it. No offense though - I just thought that it was a silly thing to say. Come on - who really finds "Aussie" offensive? But enough. Weren't we redirected back to Saqulain about 8 posts ago?

Do you take offense to being called an "idiot", or have you gotten used to that one?

    Batting position roles

Hey- really good question Anzac... some interesting discussion. I think most of the posts have been pretty correct, but I'd like to emphasize what Bazza said about the 5 and 6 players being able to build an innings and score freely, but also able to adapt to the second new ball and play a...

    Australia's Top 6 2004/05

Yes, I know, but.... it sort of seems as a bit of a dead end to me. Don't get me wrong, I think Lehmann is tremendously talented... however, that talent was probably best used in the international arena about 3 years ago and then built on. I think if he kept on going after the Windies tour this...

    Australia's Top 6 2004/05

Yeah, I'm not too sure about him either. He's certainly not someone to send the opposition quivering in their boots. But he is a "solid accumulator", and someone that more often than not puts a score on the board. But Micky Clarke is a hard one though. I saw a report on Fox Sports News today...

    Problems with Cricket 2004

Yeah - the random fielder is annyoing - but it only happens on the ball after a wicket - so you can ignore it. But the thing about going back to the default team is annoying. It happened the first time I played the game, but hasn't seemed to happen since. ??

    I got Cricket 2004 :P

Has anyone figured out how to unpack the large cricket_pc.gob file yet? I've tried a program or two ("Cage" - and another one) to open it but they didn't want to work with the Cricket 2004 file. Any ideas anyone??

Questions for those with the game

I think the best feature of C2004 are the tours. I'm playing Australia away to South Africa at the mo and it's fantastic. You must first play a tour match or two against a SA domestic team, then you get into the tests, and afterwards, the ODIs. You also pick your squad at the beginning, then...

    I got Cricket 2004 :P

Ahh... righto. Yeah - the V900 is a very nice bat... I was almost swaded to it... but the meat behind the Kookaburra Diablo was too good to pass up. Oh yeah... :cool2: You know how it is... On a side note, I'm having trouble finding pictures of some Indian bats... i.e. "Britannia"...

    I got Cricket 2004 :P

One thing that looks really out of place, though, are the bats... so I've started making my own designs. So far, i've done: Kookaburra Kahuna (Ponting, Gillespie, Lee) Kookaburra Diablo (Martyn, Scott Styris) Kookaburra Sword (Langer) Slazenger 900 (Mark Waugh???) Slazenger 800 (Michael Clarke)...

    I got Cricket 2004 :P

cricket 2004 Yeah - I just bought Cricket 2004 today... taken off the carts in Harvey Norman even before they put it on the shelves. Good things: *Fielders look terriffic - diving in the field, even TURNING AROUND to chase a ball behind them etc... and they even look good *Team Management is...

    Pakistani players *fined* for under-achieving

Pakistan's cricketers have reportedly been fined 50% of their World Cup earnings because of their dismall performances. Apparently this was decided before the WC - and after Australia thrashed then 3-0. It was supposed to be a form of motivation or something during the cup... Ex-captain Waqar...

How would had Brett Lee fared had he played for England in the Ashes series?

I dont' know..... I don't think Steve Waugh would play 150 km/h balls up in his ribcage too well, so he'd have his wicket!! :D I'd think, however, that McGrath could rip through the Aussie line-up (if someone could take his catches!!). All the players in the top 7 dont' like to get tied down...
