    Major League Baseball

    Wow, this thread hasn't been bumped all season! The Angels, Cubbies and Rays (first time in franchise history - what a great story!) have all clinched playoff berths. It's looking to be the Rays, Red Sox, White Sox and Angels in the AL and the Cubs, Mets, Phillies and Dodgers in the NL.

    Michael Phelps - Better than Ian Thorpe ?

    Thorpe wasn't a sprinter. He was a very good middle distance freestyler. And he didn't really swim any of the other strokes. He did swim the 200m medley at the Worlds in 2003, but he got destroyed by Phelps and dropped it from his program. I vote Phelps because of his incredible versatility...
