    Players position in field-????

Always wondered that. Never thought there would be any reason why you couldn't, but never thought it had actually been done before. Haha. Thanks for showing that.

    batting help

I know many people with exactly this problem, and I used to be one of them. Right now, still sort of overcoming it, I am getting throw-downs in the nets just to practice getting my foot out to the legside and straight while also incorporating my cover drive, etc. Here's a few pointers from my...

    Weights training for increased speed?

I have noticed after adding about 35kg to my bench pressing weight last year, for about an hour a week, I have been able to throw much further and more accurately. I don't think it has a huge effect on bowling though. I mainly did it to help out my football, but it had other advantages as well...

Speed Gun at training on Wednesday....

I remember when I was like 10 years old I got a platypus ball (among other things) for Christmas. At the time I was clocking just over 80km/h while my older brother (five years older than me) was clocking early to mid 120's. At this stage, I am now 15 years old and have consistently hit 126km/h...

Home Pitch and or Home practice by yourself?

Yeah, that could be a good idea. I found some information on wikipedia (I know, not reliable, but I've heard all of this before, so it sounds right). Wikipedia Bowling Machine They seem really quite simple. If you are willing to buy the parts necessary to build one, with a little bit of...

Home Pitch and or Home practice by yourself?

Do you think an electric motor would be powerful enough though? (I'm not taking a swipe, I'm seriously curious, I only know how to make some pretty weak ones.) I'll do some research as soon as I get a few things done around the house which will take a few hours and I'll post my findings.

    Getting Bounce

I am about 5'10" at the maximum, and when on song would be hitting about 120km/h. I am only a part-timer though, but the team I am playing in is an extremely good bowling side - much of the time our two openers take all ten wickets inside about 15 overs leaving the other bowlers doing nothing...

Home Pitch and or Home practice by yourself?

Definitely have thought about it. My brother and I would like to get a bowling machine, but we don't have the money nor the expertise to build one. My father seems to have all the knowledge required, but he is one of those people who thinks everything anyone else is doing is insignificant and...

As a batsman, how much more difficult is swing bowling to face?

As an opening batsman, I generally play outswing very, very well. I can only think once of getting out to a bowler who didn't actually swing the ball, bowling medium pacers - he bowled while I wasn't looking... he didn't pull himself up, nor did the umpire.. I was out. The only time, during...
