Have South Africa taken a big step in removing the CHOKERS tag

Always when the pressure is on? I'm not even going to go there. I'm just going to think about India and SA just recently, and Australia and SA 5 years ago, and some other matches inbetween.:) I do know what you mean, though. We do tend to play bad cricket when the pressure is on, but most of...

Have South Africa taken a big step in removing the CHOKERS tag

As if we never play bad cricket to lose? We always play brilliant cricket. We only lose by choking. Which demeans the other teams brilliant effort when they beat us because saying we choked means we lost it they didn't win it by playing better cricket. Which is crap. NZ bowled better and batted...

    Absolute disgrace

Amen to that. Yes, I am a female poster. For the record I am a NZ fan as well as a SA. I have family living in and around Hamilton, which is why I joined a NZ cricket forum.:) And Vittori is a babe!

Sorry, you're right. Faf had just run de Villiers out. Styris was my hero here though, was good to see him joking with Faf afterwards.

Some where there's a journalist who's been laughing his head off for years now. He grabbed a word out of the air to describe a loss in a cricket game and the whole world jumped on the bandwagon and is still riding it. At least we're unique. Other teams lose because they play bad cricket. We don't.

    Absolute disgrace

Nothing wrong with this, we all like a bit of it. But there's a big difference between chirping and glares, etc., to 4 guys boxing in a smaller guy who is already out and trying to leave the field. Especially as one of the "intimidators" ran all the way onto the field to help. That's not "a bit...

    Absolute disgrace

Maybe they are. If it took 4 of them, one not even playing, so coming onto the field to help his mates, to intimidate one guy, who, by the way, is smaller than them. What sort of message are these "heroes" sending to their many fans out there. Never expected this from NZ. Very poor show IMO...

    *Official* England in South Africa

Which makes my point and why I asked originally, Why resort to this sort of thing?

    *Official* England in South Africa

"most curious" being the operative words. Could it be we've been losing through other factors and not good cricketing skills on England's side? Makes one wonder.....

    *Official* England in South Africa

Yes, why not? Not only that, but Anderson picking at the ball and now England are using up 4 to 6 minutes between overs. Why resort to this sort of thing? They beat us fair and square every match this tour so far. Very dissappointing! and disrespectful. To their opponents, the cricket community...
