*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

Does the average fan (non CW people) outside of the big three (India, Australia, England) want regular Test cricket, and do young and upcoming players actually want to play it? Or does the ICC ditch ODI cricket all together outside of World Cups to try and help free space in the the crowded...

*Unofficial* New Zealand Black Caps Thread

Is cricket going to go down the football (soccer) route where ultimately in years to come T20 leagues over-take the international game? And more-so, international windows are created, whereas currently it's the other way round? It's more just a sign of the times where the mighty $ rules all and...

How would your team look for the weekend? Excluding the tight five, mine would be: 6 Frizell 7 Ardie 8 Sotutu 9 Smith 10 Mounga 11 Clarke 12 Jordie 13 Lester (some punch in midfield) 14 Ioane 15 Jordan

Watched the game live. It was interesting on the Breakdown today that Mils Muliaina said one of the 3 changes that he'd make for the coming weekend is bringing Mo'unga into the 10 position and moving Beauden back to full-back. He is obviously seeing something that isn't working with Beauden at...

You can question my analysis - doesn't matter in my association to CW. I agree, but I was responding to Barrett having had a great game which I disagree with. As I mentioned in my second post, we had literally no kicking game last night, and Barrett has proved over the years that it isn't his...

They may have shown effort but they didn't show intelligence when they were out on the field. As you said, the green wall was rock solid which should have made them switch it up with more of a kicking game to try and push the Bok back. We were constantly trying to run it from our own half which...

Say what? He was at fault for missing the up and under for the first try, and for me, is one of the main reasons the attack is not firing the way it should. He upsets the balance of the team because we're forced into playing Jordie for his goal-kicking rather than Jordan playing in his natural...

Given this is probably the weakest All Blacks team of the professional era and the worst All Blacks coaching/captain of all time, the Wallabies stand a chance. Especially with their muscle up front. If not now - when?

What I couldn't quite believe in his post match interview was him saying that was their best performance all year. Was he actually watching the game? Was there a single aspect of play where we actually dominated the Bok? The general public aren't interested in "improving", "the right track"...

Sure is - mighty impressive. Lost for words in regard to the All Blacks now - so ordinary. Cant help but question whether the players have literally given up.

Yes exactly right, the size of the backs these days are the size of the forwards from yester year. A name that suddenly sprung to mind is Terry Wright and he was a fairly decent winger for both Auckland and the All Blacks, but no way could he make it these days on the wing with his size.

My opinion is that it probably wasn't a problem for the former generations because the size of the players has dramatically changed in the professional era. The tackles, aggressive runs, etc would certainly take their toll, so I understand the concern.
