What kind of practice net surface

Thanks guys. The problem here is finding the right type of surface and not the matting. So you guys would suggest concrete then? What about laying/gluing the mat on bitumen? Bitumen surface might be cheaper than concrete slab.

What kind of practice net surface

Hi, We are in France and we would like to build a practice net. I contacted a french company that can build the metal structure and netting without any problem. But since they have never done this before, they were asking me about the surface. So what would you suggest? A screed, a concrete...

    Pitch idea for sports teacher

The kids are aged 12 and will be playing with plastic balls. But to get a regular bounce, we can't rely on the grass field.

    Pitch idea for sports teacher

Thanks Daemon for your suggestion. But this is not going to be possible. The mat is quite heavy and the ground is about 200 meters from the school building. So a lot of time will be lost trying to do and undo the mat.

    Pitch idea for sports teacher

Hi, I have a sports teacher in France who would like to teach cricket to her pupils. She has a well-cut and fairly flat football ground to use. Since grass does not provide good and consistent bounce, she wants to know what she can lay on the ground as a pitch. Do you guys have any idea?

Kids Fielding. Too Static. How to Galvanize?

Thanks. The training is done in a gymnasium. I do rotate the fielders after each over. But with 8 fielders waiting, and batsmen hitting most of the times in the same direction, it still seems slow.

Hi all, I've been training cricket to 11 years old french kids since last year. The session runs for an hour and half. First half, I teach them bowling, batting and fielding basics. Since the kids love to play a match, I finish off each session, the second half, with a match. 2 batsmen and...

Coaching Cricket to Kids in France

Thanks ***** for taking your time to put a plan together. And thanks Deomon for your opinion. I also thought about showing a small video or a power point presentation with exciting cricket action. But now I think it would be better if I run the session outdoor on a football ground. I have a...

Coaching Cricket to Kids in France

Thank you for your message. What I need is to find something for the 2 hrs I will spend with each class. If the kids get hooked on it, then the teachers will want to continue with cricket and ask me to come once a week to their school for an hour or two for the rest of the year. And this is...

Hi, In September, in the middle school where I live which is in western coast of France, they would like me to come and run few cricketing sessions with their students. I think the teachers and the principal would like to see how the french kids react to this new sport. And depending upon their...
