5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Dawson didnt really make his case, not many runs, 1 wkt then misses 2 important catches as sub. I reckon theyr prefer Rehan, hes more bazball, dawson more CC pro. However theyve got about a dozen white ball matches in september, maybe dawson can do something in those to influence the selectors.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

lots of opportunities for spot betting today -if india win, how many runs will they win by -will woakes be forced to bat [he was in his whites yesterday] i wouldnt want to watch that. anyway very dark already at the oval with drizzel. nasty weather to bat in, least of all for the tailenders.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Those 6 dropped catches allowed India to make 100 more than they could have dreamed . England unlikely to get 250 as the other India quicks all seem to bowl much better when Bumrah isnt playing and the pitch got plenty of life in it as ducky found out. I would have liked to see Kuldeep play at...

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Well root dropped him 1st ball in the last match. Meanwhile why does bethell bowl on leg stump or down legside so much? Strange form of leg theory?

This team India bats quite deep. Anything over 250 will be a struggle for england, as we saw in the first innings.

England in Deep sh*t. Gonna be 2-2.

5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Englands bowling tactics this series seem rather self destructive : four seamers bowled into the ground on lifeless pitches, including the captain, and as a result we go into the decider with 2 bowlers returning from injury whove hardly played, 2 part-time spinners and 36-year-old Woakes who’s...

Under Sir Jim theyve won 2 and drawn 1 i believe. But hes hardly been bowling much.

England will miss dawsons accuracy, just have to hope Bethell doesnt have to bowl. Jovertons only runin this season: 14-0-81-0. They should forget about this flat wkt chase nonsense and prepare a grassy wkt for Woakes et al, overwise englands bowling attack is going to get thrashed. Perhaps...

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

The bazballers just couldnt understand why India should bat 5 sessions when they had no chance of winning. OTOH if Root hadnt dropped Jadega 1st ball, theyd prob be celebrating a series victory. But having escaped defeat in such an emphatic manner, India must be on a high. Must be big...

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Whole lot of woofing going on, but i cant see the bazballers managing to bat through 5 sessions just for a draw. Well they didnt at Lords.

Whats happened to the pitch, did the heavy roller iron it flat again?

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

Kudos to Woakes, at last getting some reward, but I wish Brook would stop throwing the ball to ground after taking a catch, one day some finickity umpire may question whether he was in full control

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

I dont get all this about pant. Jurel subbed for him in the last test, so i assume he'll be able to do so in this, and i expect Pant, even if he has a cast on his foot will bat if india need him to. however england still have to get the other 5 batters out first, so he may not need to bat again...

4th Test (Old Trafford, Manchester) - 23rd to 27th of July

That mid order of Pant Jag Washy & Faker looks pretty good batting wise, and england havnt got through the top order yet. This is where they need some spinners or containing bowlers to rush through 20 overs and get them near to the new ball before the light fails. With england its more likely...
