    Pakistan Cricketers

He only played 9 tests from January 2007 to July 2009 with large gaps between the series that Pakistan did play. Obviously his record in 2006 was hardly made against quality bowlers or challenging pitches but he was playing the best cricket of his life at that time and had he gotten more test...

    Better than Bradman?

I don't know too much about baseball, basketball and golf but comparing batting average with goals per game for football is just completely wrong. The figure of goals per game is nowhere near as telling a stat as a batsmen or bowlers average. Firstly it only really applies to strikers, and so...

*Official* Double Match Day - Australia v Pakistan (30th Sept)

Asif castling White made me stand up and applaud. I don't care how many steroids are/were in his system, we need more of this kind of cricket.

Best ODI tourney since '03 WC?

How? OK, a World Cups a World Cup but it was one of the most tedious, anticlimactic tournaments in history. Not to mention the low crowds turnout and how one sided most of the games were. The only thing memorable about the tournament was Gilchrist's innings.

    What Next For ODI Cricket?

Is it just me or were ODIs not that boring these past couple of years or so? Obviously this recent England-Australia series has been atrocious but other then that a lot of the series I've watched have been much better. Pak/Aus Abu Dhabi Ind in WI Pak in SL SL in Pak(if only for a superb spell...

    Saqlain Mushtaq: what went wrong?

Thats fantastic. Out of curiosity, how fast do you reckon he bowled? Quicker then the average club quickie? Also did he bowl the doosra in the nets?

Wrist spin - Is it the hardest skill in cricket?

I disagree. Most international keepers are competent behind the wicket in my opinion except for the Akmal and Prior. What else are you expecting them to do?

Wrist spin - Is it the hardest skill in cricket?

I've never seen Mishra turn the bowl square like Warne and indeed MacGill used to at times. It seems to me this kind of exaggerated spin, even on helpful tracks is genuinely rare.

Wrist spin - Is it the hardest skill in cricket?

Well, less then 10% of people are left handed. And I would imagine most lefties are taught orthodox rather then chinaman.

Wrist spin - Is it the hardest skill in cricket?

I personally resort to bowling ridiculously flighted deliveries when I bowl my brand of wrist spin because I can't spin the bowl at all. They're actually surprisingly useful. I've got another question actually. Warne used to spin the bowl miles on some pitches. I've not watched too much...

Wrist spin - Is it the hardest skill in cricket?

We've only seen a handful of quality leg spinners in the history of cricket, certainly if you compare them with the amount of top quality fast bowlers and batsmen that we've seen. From what I've read the best wrist spinners have great wrists and an ability to impart lots of revolutions on the...

*Official* New Zealand in Sri Lanka

Is it the shadows or is Martin Guptill really sporting a ridiculous moustache?

    *Official* Pakistan in Sri Lanka

Yousufs way out of form. Hes not performed in any of the warmups but maybe hes waiting for the big stage. Also off topic but why is Mohamed Suraj now listed as Suraj Randiv. Has he done a "Dilshan"?

    IPL criticisms

Its great that they're helping local schools but do they really have to televise this in every single match? It definitely doesn't justify this ridiculous "strategic break".

    IPL criticisms

The worst thing about the IPL is the commentary and all the other cringeworthy nonsense that goes on during games. I'm sure someone has pointed this out in this thread but there you go.. I mean the incessant plugging of sponsors by the commentators is bad enough but then you add imbeciles like...
