Can McGrath and Warne cope with back-to-back tests?

The Aussies are going to call in cover for McGrath as they are concerned that his heel won't be healed (haha). Looks like the author of this thread might not have been so far of the mark after all? Warne also looked completely knackered after his marathon spell and surely one of the reasons for...

    The Ashes Article Thread

I liked Warne's comments on England picking Jones behind the stumps, saying that Jones 'wouldn't want to drop Pontingon 12'. I seem to remember Warne dropping the Ashes in the last test of the last series when he shelled a fairly straightforward chance from Pietersen. Click the link below my...

Can McGrath and Warne cope with back-to-back tests?

Maybe, especially as it won't matter who bowls for Aus if Harmison bowls like toilet as he has done today. Perhaps he's missing his mammy?

    Clarke called up

Bloody brilliant news for England if Michael Clarke plays. He's got lovely highlights in his hair but that's about it. Means there will be massive pressure on just four bowlers as well, with two of them approaching middle age.

Can McGrath and Warne cope with back-to-back tests?

It's not so much the 10 overs in isolation but rather the lack of rest of the series as a whole that will take their toll on McGrath in particular. I wouldn't be surprised to seem him miss one test with a fatigue related injury.

Can McGrath and Warne cope with back-to-back tests?

Both are really getting on and I think will struggle with back-to-bak tests. In England last year Warne was absolutely knackered and out on his feet in a couple of games after marathon bowling spells and it will be hotter in Aus. McGrath is also going to have a big workload if they only play 4...

How dependent are England on Flintoff?

I worry about Flintoff's fitness as if he isn't fit to bowl then England are in real trouble. In my opinion he is England's best bowler - Harmison can be awesome but is terribly inconsistent whereas Flintoff offers control and menace evertime he bowls. He definitely got to some of the Aussie...

David Graveney gives the inside scoop on the England selectors thinking

Came across this about the England team. Very funny and sums it up beautifully.
