Steven Smith - Will he go anywhere?

He must be the most improved, most unexpectedly successful cricketer ever. Started as a legspinner who could bat a bit, and now looks like the second coming of Bradman (at-least when batting against India). Not a stats hog who goes awol in tough times either - a super dependable batsman who...

    ***Official*** Australia in India 2017

Wow, didn't think he was gone that long! I I thought he had been out for 2-3 years. These damn injuries! I hope to see at-least one match with Starc, Hazelwood, Cummins and Pattinson in the side. :)

Ashwin and Jadeja ranked no 1 and 2 test bowlers.

Good point. This is something that needs to be factored into the ranking calculations. If a bowler is not considered good enough to be picked for a match, that should cause some ranking points to be deducted. Similar to how players lose ranking points in tennis if they don't show up for tournaments.

    Do you like Ian Chappell?

As a captain, Waugh got an excellent team handed on a platter but still he stooped to disgusting sledging tactics to win at any cost. IIRC, he announced his retirement before the series against India in 2003. It was surprising given that he had in the past talked about playing till he turned 40...

Are there many overweight cricketers who were top class or even an ATG?

David Boon was a very successful cricketer who packed some extra pounds on him. Brian McMillan of South Africa was a chunky cricketer who was a very good allrounder and also an awesome slip fielder taking some stunning catches.

Is Javed Miandad somewhat underrated and who was the best against the WIs in the 80s?

Miandad is one of those unique personalities. People love to hate him. His batting style wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing to put it mildly. And his constant sledging and get under the skin tactics didn't endear him to the opposition or fans, again to put it mildly. People hated his guts...

    When was Azharuddin forgiven?

Indeed! Great job by Nannes questioning the red carpet roll out for a convicted match fixer.

    KP - SA Test Cricketer?

That is in marked contrast to his his early playing days when he was over eager to show his "Englishness" and even got a a tattoo of the 3 lions to prove it.

    Is Tendulkar a jerk?

He never opened in tests despite doing so in 100s of ODI matches. Jerk was scared of the new ball in tests.

***Official*** India in Australia ODIs 2016

This has to be the most predictable, boring series ever. A clean sweep looms large unless rain intervenes. India can't put up enough runs on the board, can't chase down the target either. If they bat first, Aussies should declare their innings at 45 overs to give India a chance. Conversely, if...

Yet another predictable result. Well on course to a clean sweep as I had predicted.
