*Official* England in India 2023/24 #CryMoreTour

Got to admire the aggression from the england batters. that shot from Pope, no look reverse scoop for 4 that almost hit the keeper in the teeth. Incredilble

The "Please fire Gary Stead and Gavin Larsen" thread

thought they really missed a trick not playing Ravindra after his breakthrough time at treh ODI world cups. Players like that once they have confidence you pick them and back them as he could be the next batting stalwart for NZ like Williamson, instead they carry on picking Nicholson who we know...

    All-Time SA ODI XI

Agreed I would have Kallis as the anchor. With a stronger team like this and the more recent advent of T20 I think he could have adapted his game and scored a bit quicker than his strike rate if required.

    All-Time SA ODI XI

like this team, I would go for this team but swap Cronje and Miller in the batting order. Cronje was technically a better batter than Miller and a very good player against spin. Miller is ideal at 6 where he can just blast it and then you have Klusener afterwards. How awesome.

Didn't watch the game but we have played on crap pitches before and not been rolled for 55. I think the team from circa 2010 would have posted at least 150. But then again I didn't watch the game.

Certainly the weakest Proteas side since re admission. Their batting is certainly the weakest in living memory with no one averaging over 40 and about to get even weaker with Elgar retiring. The short nature of the game a symptom of a poor pitch and the international focus on T20 cricket...

Lets hope so. At this stage 100 runs looks a long way off. What is the pitch looking like? What is a par score?

Players with full careers who would have had better records in other teams

How can you say Atherton and Stewart were better than their averages they both played well over 100 tests each and both were given extended runs and treated much better than Hick, Crawley or Ramprakash. Doesn't make sense bud.

England doesn't poach a lot of the young talent feel they will get more of an opportunity in england to be rewarded for their ability hence they go to England at a young age like John Turner and Luke Benkenstein in Eng u/19. Its partly market forces and politics.

he may have sold Rassie down the river but there are another 6/7 batters who didnt stand up either.

SA batting is so rubbish right now it doesn't matter what format. We have the players but the constant chopping and changing of formats and lack of first class cricket is hampering us.

Anderson looks like a geriatric in the field. Really hope the selectors put him to bed after this series .Old man playing a young mans game

that is a significant difference in quality. How do the umpires allow that?
