    KP is a talented cricketer, who can score runs for fun, and at the rate of knots, but his temperament at the crease and attitude off the field makes me question whether he is an ATG.

    Good first day for England. They certainly had to work hard on a pitch and conditions that had something in it for the batsman and bowlers, hence the slow run rate. I don't think you can properly judge the pitch or any total the English batsman make, until both sides have batted and bowled.

    I would agree with that. Not bad when you've got Graeme Smith opening either. In terms of batting, I would say South Africa are definitely stronger, although England's batting line-up goes far down.
