I hadn't watched this morning but just seems absolutely no need after being there for 50 odd deliveries.

England Lions bowling line up is bang average, so he should have been looking for massive time in the middle.

Definitely, guy played through the tough part really well tbh and then this happened. Much more patience required from our younger players throughout the squad. It was a great opportunity to gain confidence and familiarize himself with the conditions especially on a green pitch like this.

Sarfaraz looking better in the middle than I expected from him on a green mamba. The bowling being bang on average plays a decent role, but still looks promising.

86/2 at lunch, easwaran has all but sealed his place on the bench, Jaiswal threw away a good start. Sarfaraz has looked better than I expected, but he isn't in the main squad anyway.
The biggest positive is how comfortable Nair has looked (average bowling but tough conditions). Based on today and Agarkar's PC he looks a guaranteed starter come the first test.
