No No, you're meant to say "even you don't believe that man" so it can lead into me saying "Root played in a more professional and competitive era"You're rattled, we won

Kumble would also have been dropped if he bowled on wickets like that at homeDoesn't necessarily, but is a fair critic.
That's a kinda salty response really, for no reason I can make of.Kumble would also have been dropped if he bowled on wickets like that at home
It's not. It's context. That's a kinda salty response really, for no reason I can make of.
The context was literally Gibbs being dropped for 4 years in the middle of his career. Kumble wasn't. He bowled in his fair share of flat tracks, his 2003 BGT being better than Gibbs series on Road. It's not. It's context.
why? Would he bore him to death?I mean the Ken Barrington of bowling would absolutely destroy Mr 30-averaging 38-away-averaging Anil Kumble.
If you want to entertain people, go to the circus, Cricket is about results.why? Would he bore him to death?
What 4 years? He was back playing 7-8 games in 1973, 1974 and 1975. in 1970 West Indies didn't play, He was dropped for 4 games in 1971 and 3 games in 1972 and then back. The context was literally Gibbs being dropped for 4 years in the middle of his career. Kumble wasn't.
Given Kumble's almost constant struggle outside Asia before the 2003-04 BGT, it seems far fetched to suggest he would instead be kept in the side as an ever-present lynchpin on some dreadfully roadish pitches. Thus, Gibbs being occasionally dropped isn't very important. The context was literally Gibbs being dropped for 4 years in the middle of his career. Kumble wasn't. did lnce gibbs ever win anything of use for his country? Ken Barrington? Draw machines both of themIf you want to entertain people, go to the circus, Cricket is about results.
Gibbs won many games for West Indies, it's just you have an internal bias against anything not from India or Pakistan, it's quite a sad affair.did lnce gibbs ever win anything of use for his country? Ken Barrington? Draw machines both of them
I don't think 2000s Indian pitches were more of turners than Gibbs over his career, so this argument is so forced it's hilarious.Given Kumble's almost constant struggle outside Asia before the 2003-04 BGT, it seems far fetched to suggest he would instead be kept in the side as an ever-present lynchpin on some dreadfully roadish pitches. Bookmarked for future Sehwag threads.I don't think 2000s Indian pitches were more of turners than Gibbs over his career, so this argument is so forced it's hilarious.
As opposed to Kumble right?did lnce gibbs ever win anything of use for his country? Ken Barrington? Draw machines both of them
If Gibbs was dropped, it isn't much of a point when he had much tougher home wickets than Kumble and Kumble didn't exactly set the world alight outside Asia for a very long time so who's to say he wouldn't have been dropped too? Just seems very straw-clutchy.I don't think 2000s Indian pitches were more of turners than Gibbs over his career, so this argument is so forced it's hilarious.
Quote of the day.If you want to entertain people, go to the circus, Cricket is about results.
The straw clutchy part really is the one getting dropped can't be criticized for it, and if done, the argument is the other would get dropped too, based on exactly nothing. If Gibbs was dropped, it isn't much of a point when he had much tougher home wickets than Kumble and Kumble didn't exactly set the world alight outside Asia for a very long time so who's to say he wouldn't have been dropped too? I didn't say you aren't entitled to criticise him. I just don't think it makes him qualitatively inferior when given Kumble's struggles outside Asia for a long period of time, he would very likely have suffered the same fate. The straw clutchy part really is the one getting dropped can't be criticized for it, and if done, the argument is the other would get dropped too, based on exactly nothing.
