Looks like its 70’s onwards, and lets be real, none of India, Pakistan or England have had a decent spinner in that time.
Except Murali & Warne; there hasn’t a world class spinner or at least of their stature post WW2

That's not a bad definition ngl.

Not that I agree with it, as I think there are definitely more than 15 post war world class bowlers.
14 of them debuted between 1970-1995. Roberts. Holding. Garner. Marshall. Walsh. Ambrose. Imran. Akram. Waqar. Lillee. McGrath. Hadlee. Donald. Pollock.

You used to be quite critical of spinners before as a bowling category.
my criticism is mostly after the top 3, they are either too condition reliant (Ashwin, Herath), defensive on true wickets (underwood) or just not great anywhere but consistently decent, I don't think outside the top 3 spinners, any of the spinners even reach ATVG pacers let alone ATG pacers

Ashwin was pretty good everywhere but SA.

Both Warne and Murali compared to top pacers are still condition dependent, not ATG in the first half of games and much more likely to be dominated.
