It's not that crazy an opinion. Indian pitches in the 2000s were so flat at times.Definitely that's just you (I hope)

wish we could switch Birth dates, I live through the 18 years of suffering being an English fanWould have loved to watch that series live. Too bad I was only born the following year.
I hope you keep this energy when comparing Root to past great Indian battersIt's not that crazy an opinion. Indian pitches in the 2000s were so flat at times.
It's not crazy tbh. I think they are pretty close, Zaheer actually beats Shami on match factor (1.07 vs 1.05). But he of course wasn't bowling with Bumrah, and had a much superior batting line up in his team which really helps with the match factor. It's not that crazy an opinion. Zaheer was key in the series wins in NZ and Eng and drawing in SA.It's not crazy tbh. I think they are pretty close, Zaheer actually beats Shami on match factor (1.07 vs 1.05). Root is better than all except Sachin and Gavaskar. Dravid will be confirmed by career end.I hope you keep this energy when comparing Root to past great Indian batters
Zaheer averages 35 at home. He is ofcourse Great in England (where Shami sucked) and New Zealand, but I will take Shami comfortably everywhere else. It's not crazy tbh. Yeah probably trueZaheer averages 35 at home. He is ofcourse Great in England (where Shami sucked) and New Zealand, but I will take Shami comfortably everywhere else.
I don't think any Indian pacer ever avgs < 30 upon removing minnows sadly (bar Bumrah and Bhuvi).Zaheer averages 34.4 without minnows...
I don't think Shami has ever played a match with bumrah in india. It's not crazy tbh. I think they are pretty close, Zaheer actually beats Shami on match factor (1.07 vs 1.05). No doubt there, significantly so!!! Ricky as a player help us win a series, but tbf he also made us draw an otherwise sure win..... That's at 0, and then Greg came to coach us......@capt_Luffy another reason you should like Ricky more than Greg, Ricky did a lot more for Indian Cricket.
Have to switch tactics...Root is better than all except Sachin and Gavaskar. Dravid will be confirmed by career end.
Those are overall numbers, not India specific.I don't think Shami has ever played a match with bumrah in india.
Shami does, though barely (29.71). The only minnows Kapil ever played were SL and while didn't feast on them, it does push his average just over 30.I don't think any Indian pacer ever avgs < 30 upon removing minnows sadly (bar Bumrah and Bhuvi).
Dw, we'll send Shami over 30 (without minnows) and Bumrah over 20 (with minnows) this june.Shami does, though barely (29.71). The only minnows Kapil ever played were SL and while didn't feast on them, it does push his average just over 30.
Yeah I checked as well. Shardul does too but has only 30 wkts.Shami does, though barely (29.71). The only minnows Kapil ever played were SL and while didn't feast on them, it does push his average just over 30.
Shami's average in England will be quite respectable in England after this series.Dw, we'll send Shami over 30 (without minnows) and Bumrah over 20 (with minnows) this june.
Root's bumass won't survive Bumrah. Just hope that he doesn't get outscored by first timer in Eng Jaiswal.Dw, we'll send Shami over 30 (without minnows) and Bumrah over 20 (with minnows) this june.
