Kallis?there's another batsman that for a 13 years period averaged over 60![]()
it would be impressive if he wasn't batting on flat decks half of his careerSachin came close to averaging 60 over 19 years

He was better when they weren't flat.it would be impressive if he wasn't batting on flat decks half of his career
He averaged just 33 in home conditions vs Australia -- the only team with a pace attack comparable to his home pace attack.Yes I know. Too bad he batted like a dead weight.
Still rated Barry the greatest opener he saw.it took multiple illnesses, a surgery and him to be near 40 for him to drop to the level of Hammond and Sutcliffe, which is absolutely insane. IIRC Bradman (who saw an old Hobbs, all the way to Sachin) considered Hobbs the technically finest player.
tbh, now as I think about it, he deserves it.oh...so that's why people hate Gooch
you never know...maybe Sobers called Gooch and offered him money to say that.tbh, now as I think about it, he deserves it.
Yeah makes sense. But it seems like Sobers gave some money to Benaud as well.you never know...maybe Sobers called Gooch and offered him money to say that.
Sobers made a network of Warne disrespect imoYeah makes sense. But it seems like Sobers gave some money to Benaud as well.
I agree with the names and the groupings (not the order per say, but that's nitpicking)Yeah. Because reaching that level to me is more difficult with so much batting competition. So Tendulkar, Hobbs, Sobers and Viv are ahead of Marshall, McGrath and Hadlee who are ahead of Lara, Hutton and Smith.
I used to be bowler first because of team value but I realise that is inherently biased.
No, easily Marshall.kyear2 will be pondering whom to vote here.
I thought he struggled in NZ actuallyHe was better when they weren't flat.
