Will just observe that with the bat as keeper Bairstow averages 40 batting #6 and #7, otherwise you need runs on the board which England didn't post in order for any supremacy of keeping to tell.... (hence 1-4 in India)

Foakes easily

its hard to maintain a consistent record when you are in and out of the side on a series basis like Foakes. the only time Foakes has had a consistent spot in the team was in that 1st Bazball summer till the NZ away tour ended and he averages 38.9 in that period and even there he didnt play a test in Pakistan. despite the flat pitches tax thats a good return for a world class keeper

but there will still be some ******** comparisons with Chris Read or some specialist keeper who couldnt bat to save their lives because some individuals here love their strawmen

Foakes has the gloves at present and Bairstow is struggling for form. JB can be explosive when his form returns.
