***Official***Match #23- Bangladesh vs South Africa- October 24th-Wankhede, Mumbai (D/N)

Funny thing about this is that we are not even trying to win here. Already given up after the bowling ****show. Last WC when WI got 320 odd runs and we came out blazing trying to win the game atleast. This is horror show and unacceptable from a team playing in WC.
I thought the pre-WC drama made it clear Ban haven't came into this WC with a winning mindset.

Absolutely Shakib thinks he’s king in bangladesh and hes into some weird **** that no one can explain. This time he got Chandika on his side and a free license from board president to do whatever he wants. The end result is this.

never agreed with Test status for Bangladesh back when, or more recently Ireland, and for me Bangladesh are the worst team there bar maybe Holland. They may have beaten Afghanistan and may beat Holland, but have far more (worthwhile) experience
That's simply not accurate, Bangladesh finished 3rd in World Cup qualifying, they beat SA in SA during the last ODI series and they beat SA in the previous WC , there is definitely progress being made in their cricket . Anyone can have a bad World Cup , but that should not undo the progress Bangladesh have made in the format in the last decade.

More than SA’s batting, I am impressed by their bowling. I doubt any other bowling side would have reduced Bangladesh to 50/4 in first 10 overs . And they did the same to England as well as Australia

I don’t know like 2019 World Cup they brought it close with some the big sides. This World Cup they can’t seem to compete with any of them

Batting has been ruthless... don't think the bowling has been as ruthless, taken early wickets but have then let the game drag on a bit with some of the opposition lower order. Literally cost SA the Netherlands match. The SA batsmen should have still chased it down that game, but should not have been having to get to 245.

Because of the constant changes, bad team environment, feud between players and ego before national team. Rubbish pitches @ home is another factor. In 2015 & 2019, our batting order was well settled and we had Masrafe who was a good man manager thus we were able to get few good wins. This time its all non existent and this result became predictable after tamim’s retirement drama.

I do wonder if the pitches and conditions aren't in the captains' heads, India just get on with it whilst everyone else is panicked into thinking it's better to bat, or it's better to bowl rather than just stick to basics
I think it's plainly obvious that you bat and then get a bit of help with the new ball under the lights. The dew has really not been a factor apart from maybe the Eng/NZ game which then utterly spooked England into bowling against Afghan and SA.

And yes, India are confusing everyone because they like chasing and are just better than everyone else anyway.

Why not give Markram some overs now with the game done , hasn't bowled yet in this tournament , he does need practice as we only use 5 Bowlers.

Yep, if you let SA bat first they have the potential to destroy you. If you make them bat second, they have the potential to destroy themselves.

It's not difficult to bowl when you have over 380 on the board.
